How I Can Help You...

The first thing that I can do for you is to set time aside so we can have a chat about where you are at and what you feel you need help with. This chat is on me and there is no fee.

If we both decide to work together I will meet with you regularly, usually on a weekly basis, so that you can work towards regaining your positivity.

What I can help with

  • Abuse

  • Anxiety

  • Addictions

  • Bereavement

  • Depression

  • Loss

  • Panic Attacks

  • Redundancy

  • Self-Esteem

  • Self-Harm

  • Stress

  • Trauma

Understanding what it means and protecting our 'mental health', is an integral part of what enables any one of us to best understand ourselves and build strong self-worth.

If your thoughts and feelings are leading you to consider counselling, then I strongly believe you should act on them.

Testimonial

Over the years of my life and more so lately, I have dealt with a lot of life changing episodes, or maybe more like I thought I had dealt with them.  My mother passed away earlier this year and for the first few months I felt I was coping okay as I had a lot of sorting out to do which kept me busy.

For 10 years I had been my mother's, daughter, best friend and carer and I loved her so much and in the last few years was with her every day. My life totally changed and I wasn't living happily, I had no joy in things and couldn't appreciate what I had which led to guilty thoughts too, I wasn't thinking right, I was just sad and this seemed to bring all other life changing episodes to the fore.  I started to sink, I felt ill, there was a huge void in my life and I didn't know what to do.  I realised I needed help, it wasn't a case of snap out of it.

My doctor was a great support and gave me the telephone number of a counsellor who was David Stirling.  Never having been in this situation before, I felt nervous to contact David, thinking, what if I can't talk to him, not knowing what to expect but all my worries eased when I rang one day I knew I would be able to talk to him when I heard his voice as it was the calm to my storm.

When I think back to how I was when I had my first session to how I was at my last, what a different person I am now and for the better. I was able to put my trust in David to talk about things I have never spoken about to anyone and he was able to guide and help me, encouraging me along the way to see why I was feeling like this and how to help myself.

With David's guidance I found myself rising-up out of this dark place where I had been, explaining about the thoughts I was having and how to turn them around successfully"
